Know More About Ultro’s QA And Testing Procedures
Here at Ultro Digital, we put high emphasis on the quality of the digital solutions we deliver. Alongside our Quality Assurance (QA) team, we make sure that the digital solutions we produce - not only comply with the client’s guidelines and practices, as agreed in the written statement of work - but also adhere to the standards and norms defined by the web standards in the industry.
During every phase in the website development life cycle - we measure the quality of our digital solutions against: a set of guidelines on the techniques, practices and conventions that need to be followed; a series of documentation; and design & coding standards.
Our QA professionals do this by closely monitoring all the project activities and regularly doing audits on all the project activities. And in case of any deviations, they automatically impose a timely corrective action. The QA procedure, though, is customised on every project and is implemented depending on the complexity and duration of the project.
How We Carry Out QA Activities
1. Planning. We do a roadmap on the whole QA process. Involved here is how we draw the road map for the testing process - which includes creating testing plans that need to be followed and identifying the testing tools to be used.
2. Testing. This is where our QA professionals perform a list of tests which are:
- Code Review - We verify if the code are standard written.
- Unit Testing - To ensure that all programming logic and methods don’t have errors, we check the functionality of the code up to its smallest unit as well.
- Integration Testing - Also, to make sure that applications on the website function properly, a test is made.
- Functional Testing - We test each feature of the application or website and make sure that they are developed according to the specified functionality.
- Compatibility Testing - Our QA team makes sure that the website is compatible across different platforms and browsers. This include email testing on Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Thunderbird and Outlook Express - alongside testing on browsers such as IE 7, IE8, IE9, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera. For mobile solutions, we test them on a variety of mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad and a couple of Android mobiles.
- Performance Testing - This test is made so we can check if the application or the website works well even under high user load. We normally use a range of testing methods for this.
- Automated Testing - To do automated testing - we also create testing scripts so we can perform repetitive testing tasks throughout the project life cycle.
3. Fixing. When all errors or issues are identified, they are documented and delegated to the right people. Then once the errors are fixed, our QA team verifies them and releases the site to the client.
Ultro Digital implements a thorough testing method because we aim at assuring our clients to receive not just a fully functional website or application, but also a digital solution that can satisfy their business’ need of driving in revenue.
